Did you know Priyanka Chopra got a marriage proposal from Gerard Butler

Globetrotter Priyanka Chopra seems to be the most eligible single woman of late. From her being on every celebrity chat show to her latest rumoured romance with Nick Jonas, the ‘Quantico’ star has been grabbing the news almost everyday.

While her ardent fans are eagerly waiting for their favourite ‘desi girl’ to come clean about her relationship, recently there was a news report which left everyone shocked. A few years back, in 2009, to be specific, Hollywood heartthrob Gerard Butler who has made every woman go weak in the knees had asked PeeCee out.

Apparently, he came down to India, and Priyanka hosted a party in honour of him at her Versova residence. Through the course of the evening, the smitten Gerard tried his best to woo her, but to no avail. A guest at the party revealed, "Of course the party was for Gerard who was completely besotted by Priyanka and kept proposing to her every half hour. It's become a standing joke rather a 'kneeling' joke between them. 'Will you marry me?' he knelt and said every half hour while she would burst into laughter. She's clearly not interested on being Mrs Butler.”

Even in 2012, the ‘300’ actor joked about his broken heart and had said that he is still single as he is still waiting for Priyanka Chopra
